Server Stability, Backups, and Permissions

Over the weekend we have been experiencing issues with the server crashing. Looking over the logs I believed the issue was the spigot build we were using. I had kept the original spigot.jar file we used and put it back in use, this did not fix the issue. It is also worth mentioning here that these crashes is not due to a plugin issue either. In fact I now believe the issue has something to do with other some server config change or something was built on the server that crashes it. 

I have rolled back the server to a save I made before the weekend (I believe it was Thursday). And I will do my best to get a script working soon that will backup the server every day (or every other) to ensure a large amount of progress is not lose if this occurs again.   

Because I am unsure of exactly what changed to cause this crash I will be removed all ops from the server (including myself). All changes will be made after one of our backup cycles.

Thanks for the info, code! Not home right now to see if the server's up, but know alot of us missed having it. I need my daily dose of legal crack! ? Hope you had a good visit with your dad.
